Chilean food trade fintech startup Loads has secured a $15 million revolving credit facility from Mexican structured debt firm Addem Capital, a significant financial milestone that will allow the company to expand its embedded financing operations across Latin America and beyond.
Founded by Larry Gil, Loads operates an innovative cross-border food trade platform designed to seamlessly connect buyers, suppliers, and financing into a single digital ecosystem. The newly acquired capital from Addem Capital will be strategically deployed to provide essential working capital to small and medium-sized agricultural businesses. By leveraging this facility, these agricultural enterprises will gain the operational flexibility required to ship containers of fresh produce globally without the traditional burden of paying suppliers upfront, thereby removing one of the most persistent liquidity bottlenecks in the international fresh food supply chain.
Under the operational framework enabled by this facility, loans provided through the Loads platform average approximately $35,000, structured with concise terms of about 35 days. This short-term, highly targeted financing model aligns perfectly with the rapid turnaround times inherent in perishable agricultural logistics, ensuring that farmers and exporters can maintain steady cash flow while their goods are in transit across international waters and borders.

The timing of the $15 million revolving credit facility coincides with a period of remarkable growth and operational momentum for Loads. During the first half of 2026 alone, the company successfully moved an impressive 11.4 million kilograms of food. The bulk of this agricultural volume consisted of high-demand perishable fruits, predominantly avocados, grapes, apples, and kiwis, highlighting the platform’s specialization in connecting regional agricultural powerhouses with global consumer markets.
This robust movement of goods has translated into substantial financial performance. Loads generated approximately $12 million in revenue during its previous fiscal year, reflecting a strong and scalable business model. Bolstered by the fresh injection of capital from Addem Capital and increasing demand for its cross-border trade solutions, the company projects exponential growth, expecting to quadruple its revenue figure over the course of 2026.
The partnership between Loads and Addem Capital underscores the growing importance of fintech innovation within the agricultural sector, where traditional banking institutions have historically struggled to provide agile, data-driven financing solutions tailored to the fast-paced realities of international trade. As Loads continues to scale its operations and expand the reach of its platform, the company aims to solidify its position as a vital trade infrastructure partner for agricultural producers throughout the region.
