Chilean Refurbished Electronics Startup Reuse Secures $21 Million Series A to Accelerate Latin American Expansion

Chilean circular economy champion Reuse has successfully closed a $21 million Series A funding round, marking a significant milestone for the region’s growing technology and sustainability sectors. The financing round was led by At One Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm, and notably represents the fund’s very first direct investment in Chile. This capital injection arrives at a time of rapid growth for the enterprise, which has established itself as a leading B2B2C partner for managing device trade-in programs, refurbishing electronics, and scaling the secondary hardware market across Latin America.

Founded in 2018 by visionary entrepreneurs José Tomás Ulloa and Max Sateler, Reuse operates at the intersection of retail technology and environmental sustainability. The company’s core business model revolves around managing comprehensive device trade-in programs for major regional retailers, telecommunications operators, and global electronics brands. By partnering with established household names such as Falabella, Coppel, Samsung, Cencosud, Ripley, Claro, WOM, and MacOnline, Reuse has positioned itself as an essential infrastructure provider for companies looking to incorporate reverse logistics and sustainable practices into their operations without building the capability from scratch.

Reuse raises $21M Series A to expand across Latin America

The mechanics of Reuse’s operations rely heavily on proprietary software designed to streamline the lifecycle of electronic devices. When consumers bring in their used smartphones, tablets, and other electronics through retail partners, Reuse uses its proprietary software platform to accurately evaluate the condition of each used device. Following the diagnostic phase, the hardware is expertly refurbished and prepared for secondary sale. To instill consumer confidence in a market that has historically been skeptical of second-hand electronics, Reuse resells these restored devices with a robust 13-month warranty. Furthermore, these thoroughly tested products are made available to consumers at prices up to 30% lower than their brand-new counterparts, offering an economically attractive and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional retail purchases.

With the newly secured $21 million in Series A funding, Reuse is poised to execute an ambitious regional growth strategy. A primary objective for the company is its upcoming market entry into Colombia, a major Latin American economy with a rapidly growing digital consumer base. In addition to launching operations in Colombia, Reuse plans to deepen its footprint across its existing markets and expand further throughout the broader Latin American region. The funding will also be allocated toward strengthening partner integrations, ensuring that its software seamlessly connects with the point-of-sale and inventory systems of its extensive network of retailers and telecom operators. Moreover, a substantial portion of the capital will be reinvested into technology development to continuously improve its diagnostic software and operational efficiency.

The timing of this investment coincides with a period of remarkable financial performance for the Chilean startup. Reuse generated $30 million in revenue in 2025, a striking figure that represents precisely double its revenue from the previous year. Looking ahead, the company’s leadership maintains an aggressive growth outlook, projecting that Reuse will reach $55 million in net revenue by the year 2026. Currently, Reuse maintains an active commercial presence across Chile, Mexico, and Peru, supported by a dedicated workforce of 120 employees whose collaborative efforts drive the company’s hardware evaluation, refurbishment, and distribution operations forward.
