Clip acquires Pulpos to expand business management services

Founded in 2023, Pulpos has quickly carved out a niche by providing small and medium-sized businesses with a robust suite of digital tools designed to manage daily commerce. Its cloud-based platform covers a wide array of merchant needs, including sales tracking, inventory management, electronic invoicing, financial oversight, and online store capabilities. Furthermore, the startup has kept pace with technological advancements by offering innovative AI agents integrated through WhatsApp, allowing merchants to streamline customer interactions and operational workflows directly through the widely used messaging application.

Clip acquires Pulpos to expand business management services

The acquisition will enable Clip to seamlessly bridge the gap between financial transactions and underlying business management software. By combining Clip’s established payment infrastructure with Pulpos’s operational tools, merchants will benefit from automated inventory updates in real time, streamlined electronic invoice generation, and precise transaction recording. This integration aims to eliminate administrative friction for business owners, allowing them to manage sales and back-office operations from a unified ecosystem. Despite the acquisition by the larger fintech unicorn, Pulpos is slated to maintain its distinct brand identity and will continue to operate under the leadership of its existing team, preserving the operational continuity that its client base has come to rely on.

The journey leading up to this acquisition highlights Pulpos’s strong appeal to prominent venture capital firms. Over its operational history, the platform has successfully raised a total of $9 million in funding. This capital accumulation included a $4 million seed round that attracted backing from notable investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, H2O Capital Innovation, Latitud, and Newtopia. Momentum continued for the software provider with a subsequent $5 million funding round finalized in April 2026, which was led by Dalus Capital. These financial milestones provided Pulpos with the runway necessary to scale its technological infrastructure and expand its market footprint before catching the attention of Clip, one of Mexico’s most prominent fintech success stories.
