Natanael Cano Postpones Remaining Dates of Mexico Tour to Focus on Health and Well-Being

Mexican music star Natanael Cano has officially postponed the remaining dates of his highly anticipated Natanael Cano Vol. 1 tour across Mexico, according to a statement released by his management team.

The announcement, provided to Billboard Español on Thursday, October 8, came as a surprise to many followers of the pioneering artist, who had recently kicked off the massive concert series with back-to-back sold-out performances in the nation’s capital. While the abrupt halt to the tour has left thousands of ticketholders disappointed, representatives for the singer emphasized that the decision was necessary to prioritize his personal health and recovery.

"After careful consideration, Natanael Cano is postponing the remaining dates of the Natanael Cano Vol. 1 tour to focus on his health and well-being," the official statement reads. "We understand this news will be disappointing to fans who planned to attend, and we sincerely apologize for the impact of this decision. Tickets will be refunded through the original point of purchase."

Privacy Requested Amid Health Concerns

Aside from confirming that the postponement is tied to the artist’s health and well-being, Cano’s team did not disclose any specific medical diagnoses, symptoms, or additional details regarding his condition. Respecting the personal boundaries of the performer during this unforeseen interruption, his representatives explicitly asked that the media, public, and supporters afford both Cano and his family privacy at this time.

Despite the abrupt cancellation of upcoming performances, the artist’s camp made a point to express appreciation for the unwavering dedication of his fanbase, who have consistently stood by him throughout various milestones of his rapid rise to international prominence.

"We’re grateful for the support and understanding of his fans who always stand by him," the statement concludes.

A High-Profile Tour Cut Short

The nationwide concert trek had launched with significant momentum on September 18, treating audiences to a pair of consecutive sold-out shows at Mexico City’s massive Estadio GNP Seguros. Those opening nights established a high-energy tone for what was expected to be one of the most prominent regional Mexican tours of the season.

Following the successful capital city launch, the itinerary was slated to wind its way through numerous major cities across the country. Scheduled upcoming stops included Mérida on October 17, Boca del Río on October 30, and Puebla on October 31. The tour was also set to visit Toluca on November 6, Oaxaca on November 7, Monterrey on November 27, and Torreón on November 28, before culminating in a grand finale scheduled in Acapulco on December 5. All of these remaining dates are now on hold as the artist steps away from the stage.

Rooted in a Chart-Topping Release

The concert series takes its name from Cano’s latest studio project, Natanael Cano, Vol. 1, an ambitious 15-track album that has continued to drive his commercial and critical success. Upon its release, the record made a strong impact on the mainstream Latin charts, debuting at No. 4 on the Top Regional Mexican Albums chart and landing at No. 10 on the broader Top Latin Albums chart.

The album showcases Cano’s musical versatility, blending his signature contemporary style with traditional roots and unexpected interpretations. Among the standout tracks on the project are "Mar Azul" and "La Cherokee." Additionally, the album features bold reinterpretations of classic Latin pop and ballad staples, including a cover of Cristian Castro’s emotional standard "Por Amarte Así" and Jeanette’s timeless ballad "Frente a Frente."

As ticket refunds are processed through the original points of purchase, fans and industry observers alike await further updates from the singer’s camp regarding when the regional Mexican icon might be ready to return to the road.
