Fuerza Regida Offers Reward for Stolen Live Performance Footage After Mexico City Break-In

Fuerza Regida is appealing to the public for the safe return of 22 unreleased live performance videos that were stolen in Mexico City, offering a financial reward for the recovery of the critical media storage devices. The missing visual assets were captured during a major recording project in Mexico’s capital before thieves targeted the vehicle of the band’s director, Miguel, making off with the high-value equipment.

Frontman Jesús Ortiz Paz, widely known as JOP, addressed the unfortunate incident directly in a video published to the group’s official Instagram account. Speaking to millions of followers, the charismatic lead singer detailed the loss while attempting to reassure the band’s loyal fan base about the fate of the accompanying audio tracks.

"We’re working with Rancho Humilde in good faith to put out music for the fans, for everyone who supports us," JOP announced in the social media clip, which quickly amassed millions of views following its release.

According to the frontman, the band had traveled extensively to Mexico City specifically to record a comprehensive live album alongside visual accompaniments for 22 distinct tracks. While the master audio files remained securely stored and untouched, the visual material was completely compromised when the director’s vehicle was broken into and ransacked.

"The good news is that we still have the music, but the videos are gone," JOP explained to fans. "The memory cards were stolen, and we’re asking whoever has them to please return them. We just want to make our fans happy, and we worked really hard to record those videos."

Addressing whoever may be in possession of the gear, the frontman made a direct plea regarding the hardware versus the irreplaceable data. He indicated that the individuals responsible could keep the physical cameras and computers taken during the burglary, provided they handed back the hard drives and memory cards containing the precious footage.

Fuerza Regida Offers Reward for 22 Stolen Videos as It Works to ‘Resolve Our Differences’ With Rancho Humilde

Emphasizing the group’s urgency to retrieve the visual assets, JOP confirmed that a financial incentive awaits anyone who can deliver the items. "We got a reward," he added. "A gift, money, whatever they want to call it."

Alongside the video message, the group published a formal written statement via Instagram stories, officially establishing a reward system for actionable information leading to the recovery of the stolen files. The band instructed anyone with credible knowledge of the theft or the whereabouts of the media cards to reach out directly through direct messaging. The post notably included the hashtag #PisteandoConLaRegidaVol4, which industry observers and fans believe points toward the title of the upcoming live project, though the group has yet to officially confirm the final title.

The news of the theft breaks during a particularly complex and busy period for Fuerza Regida, arriving alongside developments in their professional relationship with Rancho Humilde. The California-based independent label initially signed the regional Mexican powerhouse back in 2018, launching a remarkably successful partnership that helped propel the group to international stardom.

In recent times, however, the two entities have found themselves entangled in opposing legal actions concerning contractual control, creative independence, outside collaborations, single and album releases, touring agreements, and royalty distributions. Despite these ongoing courtroom battles and behind-the-scenes tensions, JOP’s recent statements have pointed toward a potential path forward. In their recent written statement, the band expressed that they were actively advancing with Rancho Humilde to resolve differences and find a cooperative working arrangement.

The unfolding situation comes just ahead of a major career milestone for the group. Fuerza Regida is scheduled to take part in a high-profile Superstar Q&A session at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami. In addition to the discussion panel, the group is slated to perform during the week’s marquee En Vivo event.

These upcoming appearances follow closely on the heels of a major cover story dedicated to the ensemble, which explored their massive stadium touring footprint, the ongoing growth of Street Mob Records, and the foundational steps toward the next major era of their career.
