Argentine Fintech Rebill Secures $5.4M Pre-Series A Funding to Expand Cross-Border Payment Infrastructure in Latin America

Argentine fintech startup Rebill has successfully raised $5.4 million in a pre-Series A funding round, a milestone that brings the company’s total capital raised to more than $9 million since its inception. The fresh financial injection highlights the growing investor appetite for cross-border B2B financial infrastructure and treasury solutions tailored to the unique economic landscapes of Latin America and beyond.

The latest funding round attracted participation from a powerhouse roster of prominent global venture capital funds and prominent angel investors. Leading participants in the round included Tiger Global and startup accelerator Y Combinator, alongside SV Angel and Soma Capital. The round also drew support from high-profile individual tech leaders, including Guillermo Rauch, CEO and founder of Vercel, and Arash Ferdowsi, co-founder of Dropbox. The backing from such seasoned investors underscores confidence in Rebill’s business model and its potential to scale across multiple complex regulatory and financial jurisdictions.

Founded in 2020, Rebill addresses one of the most persistent friction points for growing businesses operating internationally: the ability to seamlessly collect payments across borders. The company provides a robust payment infrastructure that enables businesses to accept local payment methods in various countries without the traditional requirement of establishing a costly local legal entity in each target market. By removing these administrative and financial barriers, Rebill allows companies to accelerate their international expansion strategies with significantly reduced overhead.

Currently, Rebill’s operational footprint spans several key economies across the Americas, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States. This strategic multi-country presence positions the fintech to capture an increasing share of the region’s rapidly growing digital commerce and software-as-a-service markets, where businesses are increasingly looking for unified ways to manage complex, multi-currency revenue streams.

The newly secured capital will be deployed strategically to fuel several core pillars of the company’s growth strategy. First, Rebill plans to deepen its penetration and growth within its existing markets. Second, the company aims to target and attract larger enterprise clients that require robust, scalable, and secure payment processing capabilities.

Furthermore, the funds will be used to aggressively expand two of the company’s specialized service offerings: Rebill Treasury and Rebill Platforms. Rebill Treasury is designed to help businesses efficiently manage and optimize their funds across multiple currencies, a crucial capability for firms operating in Latin American economies characterized by currency fluctuations and strict exchange controls. Meanwhile, Rebill Platforms empowers software companies and digital marketplaces to embed and offer advanced payment services directly to their own customers under their proprietary brands, opening up new revenue streams and enhancing user retention for platform operators.

The fundraising comes on the heels of a period of substantial commercial momentum for the startup. Between January and September, Rebill experienced exceptional growth, quadrupling its number of active merchants while tripling its total monthly payment volume. This rapid scaling reflects a surging demand for flexible financial infrastructure among digital-first businesses operating in the region.

Rebill’s growing client roster includes notable companies such as educational platform Henry, travel assistance provider Assist 365, and online tech education provider TripleTen, among others. As these and other merchants continue to scale their operations internationally, they rely on Rebill’s unified infrastructure to streamline transaction processing, reduce payment failures, and simplify the reconciliation of multi-currency revenues. With fresh capital, expanded product offerings, and a proven track record of merchant acquisition, Rebill is well-positioned to cement its role as a critical enabler of cross-border commerce throughout Latin America.
